PhD Student

University of Michigan

I’m a second-year Ph.D. student, advised by Dr. Robin Brewer & Dr. Sarita Schoenebeck in the Social Media Research Lab. Previously, I worked with Dr. Josiah Hester in Ka Moamoa Lab at Northwestern University. In broad terms, my current research interests sit at the intersection of Disability Studies, Accessibility, and Human-Computer Interaction. I study power asymmetries in “assistive technology” and imagine ways that redistribute agency and control to disabled people.

I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego in March 2020. Gratefully, my undergraduate journey was fully-funded by the KAUST Gifted Student Program.
